Sajo Dongawon announced on the 13th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Seoul National University Veterinary Hospital Emergency Medical Center and ANIBIOME at Seoul National University on June 30, covering pet food support for abandoned animals requiring emergency treatment and industry-academia research collaboration.
The signing ceremony was attended by ANIBIOME CEO Oh Won-seok, Seoul National University Veterinary Hospital Emergency Medical Center Director Kim Min-soo, Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine professors Baek Seung-joon and Cho Sung-bum, and Sajo Dongawon Executive Director Nam Dong-bae. The parties pledged to collaborate on new product development and marketing through joint research in companion animal clinical nutrition.
"We learned that Seoul National University Veterinary Hospital has been providing discounted medical treatment for abandoned animals in Gwanak-gu and pets with severe, high-difficulty emergency trauma cases. We wanted to offer whatever help we could, so we began discussing pet food donations," explained a Sajo Dongawon representative.
"In the process, we came to agree that aging and sick companion animals particularly need high-quality nutritional pet food, and that advancing clinical nutrition is essential for this. That's why we held this signing ceremony with ANIBIOME CEO Oh Won-seok, who leads a companion animal nutrition company established by professors from Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine. Through this MOU, we will strive to introduce a variety of high-quality nutritional pet foods for companion animals."
